WaitlistWarrior (“we,” “us,” “our”) monitors public and school class‑enrollment pages on your behalf and alerts you when seats open. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what choices you have. If you have questions, email alerts@waitlistwarrior.net.

Who we are

WaitlistWarrior is an independent service operated from the United States. The website at waitlistwarrior.net is the sole controller of the data described below.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account we store your email address, a name (if you provide one), your school (optional), and a bcrypt hash of your password. We never store your password in plaintext.

Sign in with Google

If you choose “Sign in with Google,” Google returns your email address, name, and profile picture URL. We use those fields only to create or identify your account. We do not receive your Google password and we do not request any access to Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or other Google user data.

Watches you create

For each class page you monitor we store the URL, an optional label, your chosen check frequency, your notification preferences, and periodic snapshots of the enrollment numbers we extract from the page.

Notification identifiers

If you enable Telegram alerts we store the Telegram chat ID you link so we can deliver messages to you.

Payment information

Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and stores your payment method directly; we never see or store your card details. We keep only the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers Stripe returns to us, plus the current period end date so we know when your plan renews.

Product analytics

We record page views on our own website (path, referrer, timestamp) and set a first‑party, HTTP‑only cookie (wlw_vid) that lasts up to one year so we can count unique visitors. We do not use third‑party ad trackers and we do not store IP addresses.

Browser extension

The optional WaitlistWarrior Chrome extension reads the live HTML of the class pages you tell it to monitor from tabs you already have open in your browser, and sends that HTML to our server so we can extract the enrollment numbers. It does not read pages you have not asked us to monitor and it does not access your browsing history, saved passwords, or form data.

How we use your information

  • To create and secure your account and let you sign in.
  • To check the class pages you have configured and send you alerts.
  • To process subscription payments and manage plan entitlements.
  • To reply to support and feedback messages you send us.
  • To measure aggregate usage of the site so we can improve the product.
  • To comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms of service.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.

Service providers we use

We share the minimum data necessary with a small set of processors:

  • Microsoft Azure — hosts our application and Postgres database (United States).
  • Stripe — processes payments and stores billing details.
  • Google— provides the “Sign in with Google” OAuth flow if you choose it.
  • SMTP email provider — delivers transactional email such as welcome messages and enrollment alerts.
  • Telegram — delivers optional Telegram alerts if you link your account.

How long we keep your data

We keep your account, watches, and snapshot history for as long as your account is active. When you delete a watch, its history is removed. When you delete your account, we delete your account record and associated watches within 30 days, except where we are required to retain limited billing records for tax and accounting purposes.

Your rights and choices

  • Access, correction, deletion. You can view and edit your account details from your dashboard, or email alerts@waitlistwarrior.net to request access, correction, or deletion of your data.
  • Alerts. Turn any watch off from your dashboard to stop alerts, or delete the watch entirely.
  • Cookies. You can clear the wlw_vid cookie from your browser at any time; a new anonymous ID will be generated on your next visit.
  • Extension. You can uninstall the Chrome extension from chrome://extensions at any time. Doing so immediately stops it from reading any page.

Security

We use HTTPS everywhere, store passwords as bcrypt hashes, keep customer secrets in Azure app settings, and restrict database access. No system is perfectly secure — if you believe your account has been compromised, please email us right away.

Children

WaitlistWarrior is intended for university students and other adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

International users

Our servers are located in the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, if appropriate, notify you by email.
